Big John Wayne will be showing his ‘True Grit’ when this 1969 movie comes to the big screen at the Evergreens Cinema at Age UK Dorchester on Wednesday 13th February 2019.

Wayne puts in an Oscar winning performance as the rough tough US Marshall, Rooster Cogburn, alongside singer Glen Campbell making his screen debut. Glen also sings the Academy Award nominated title song. The film also stars Kim Darby who almost steals the show in her role as the girl who hires Wayne to track down her father’s killer. First released 50 years ago, True Grit still stands out today as one of the best westerns in cinema history.

The cinema lights will dim at 1.45pm, tea and biscuits will be served during the showing for just £2.00, ice creams will also be available.
