Residents and visitors are invited to Weymouth Seafront for a night of fun at the free annual Big Guy Fawkes Event on Friday 5 November.

The fun starts at 4pm with the fabulous family funfair on the Pavilion Forecourt, joining some traditional stalls and attractions on Weymouth Seafront.

At 6.45pm, the traditional children’s Guy Fawkes competition gets underway in the foyer of the Weymouth Pavilion.  Judging and prizes will be provided by the Weymouth Pavilion and the Alexandra Gardens Pleasure Grounds.

Children wanting to enter the Guy Fawkes competition should bring their homemade guy along to the Weymouth Pavilion Foyer from 6.15 pm. The competition will be judged by special guests including the Mayor of Weymouth Town Council Cllr Colin Huckle and cast members from Weymouth Pavilion’s Christmas pantomime ‘Aladdin’.

A popular highlight of the evening will of course be the lighting of the giant beach bonfire at 7.40 pm, followed by the fantastic fireworks display in Weymouth Bay at 8.00 pm.
