The largest art and craft show in Dorset takes place from 31st July to 4th August 2020. Entry £5. There is so much to see, it can take half a day or more to explore all the Fine Art, Craft, Photography and Guest exhibitions.
A first time visitor commented – “An inspirational exhibition. We came for a quick visit and spent 5 hours here!”
2020 will feature guest exhibitions by ‘5 Creative Feltmakers’, Poole Viking Model Club and Wareham Camera Club. With taster ‘have-a-go’ craft sessions for both adults and children, craft demonstrations and over 40 art and craft stalls, there’s something for the whole family.
Located at the gateway to the Jurassic Coast, it can be a perfect day out combined with sightseeing around Poole Harbour, Corfe Castle and the Purbecks.
The Dorset Arts & Crafts Summer Exhibition is held at the Purbeck School in Wareham. There’s free parking, disabled access throughout and refreshments available in the cafeteria.
The 2020 Summer Exhibition will be the 106th organised by the Dorset Arts & Crafts Association which was founded in 1906. The Association was registered as a charity in 1967 and supports local artists and craft workers through the annual exhibition and through the awarding of an Arts & Crafts Grant to groups or individuals.
