New SummerFest event coming to Weymouth

 

Weymouth and Portland Round Table have announced that they will be hosting a new fun-filled family festival at Redlands Leisure and Community Park on Saturday 3rd of June.

Entry to the SummerFest event is free although an optional donation can made on arrival, with proceeds going to Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance and the Round Table’s defibrillator fundraising appeal.

Weymouth and Portland Round Table Chairman, Adam Luckhurst, said: “SummerFest is shaping up to be not only one of the largest and most popular events in Weymouth this summer, but also the biggest fundraiser in Weymouth and Portland Round Table’s calendar – so save the date of the 3rd of June in your diary now.

“SummerFest has all the makings of a fantastic day out for local families and visitors alike with a jam-packed line up of activities and attractions, including live bands and the opportunity to watch the FA Cup Final all topped off by a grand fireworks display.”

The event is also set to include a pop-up farmers’ market with food and refreshments, a children’s football tournament, crazy golf, bouncy castle, rides and trampolines plus falconry, Combat Lab and classic car displays with more attractions to be confirmed.
