Weymouth Walking Football Seeks New Players

Weymouth Walking Football is inviting new players aged 49 and over to join its growing and inclusive football community.

The group meets every Monday evening at 7pm at Redlands Sports Centre in Weymouth, offering walking football – a slower-paced version of the game designed to keep players active while reducing the risk of injury.

The club currently fields three teams, competing in the Over 50s, Over 60s and Over 65s age groups, and welcomes players of all abilities. Organisers say the sessions provide not only physical benefits but also strong social connections and camaraderie.

Craig Willis, who helps run the group, said Weymouth Walking Football aims to make football accessible to everyone. “It’s a friendly and inclusive environment where people can enjoy the game at a comfortable pace while staying fit and social,” he said.
