A fantastic opportunity is now available for a creative and talented Chef to join the team at Weldmar Hospicecare, based at our Inpatient Unit in Dorchester

The Chef team have responsibility for the production and delivery of high-quality catering. With experience of working in a busy professional kitchen and a passion for cooking you will prepare nutritious meals using fresh ingredients to all services across Weldmar Hospicecare.

You’ll be required to work as a ‘Competent Chef’ where you will use your strong customer service skills and your experience of communicating with vulnerable people or those with special dietary needs. Reporting to the Catering and Nutrition Lead you will assist in the development of a range of menus and the delivery of dietary safe meals to meet patient’s individual needs and to make a difference to someone every day.

You’ll be qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, will have knowledge of special dietary needs, nutritional requirements and an understanding of their application. Preferably your experience is gained from catering in a healthcare or similarly regulated environment (but not essential).
