Frontline Recruitment Weymouth is looking for a Purchase Ledger Accounts Assistant for our client in Weymouth.

Job Description:

· To assist in the daily running of the UK Purchase Ledger and International Branch Sales and Purchase Ledgers. Providing administrative support to the Accounts Department to ensure maintenance of an organised structure and maximum efficiency and accuracy in performance.

· Assisting in Processing UK stock and BTB Invoices – to include query resolution (Daily)

· Printing invoices and Statements for processing and reconciliation (Daily)

· Assisting with Reconciling Supplier Statements in advance of payments (Weekly/Monthly)

· Assisting in payment of the suppliers by making suggestions of suppliers who have chased (Weekly)

· Assisting in SL sweeps for the international branches (alongside banking)

· Banking Duties for International Branches:

Ø NZ and AUD – PayPal and Braintree, Afterpay (Daily)

Ø CAD – PayPal and Braintree (Daily)


Accurate and timely maintenance of the Ledgers is vital in establishing the Companies Accounts integrity and ensuring that decisions regarding cash flow, budgets, forecasts etc. are based upon accurate data. Meeting filing deadlines for Company Returns is of paramount importance therefore it is important that you are aware of these timelines and of the expectations upon you within the process.


· Develop working relationships that ensure information is shared appropriately and on a timely basis.

· The Ledgers are complete and accurate and swept regularly for inaccuracies allowing time for internal Audits in advance of the company meeting its filing obligations for each branch

· Queries on Invoices are raised with suppliers immediately and chased regularly until resolution

· Bank and Credit Card statements are reconciled within 10 days of receipt of statement.

· 100% of early settlement discounts are achieved with specific suppliers.

· Deadlines for payments of Tax/Payroll are met 100% of the time


Accounts Manager:Your daily tasks will be delegated and discussed with the Accounts Manager who will also provide the majority of your training, assistance and resource requirements.

Finance Director: You are ultimately accountable to the Finance Director.
Job Types: Full-time, Temp to perm

Contract length: 9 weeks
Salary: Up to £10.50 per hour

Weymouth, Dorset: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
