Biker clocked at 95mph on coast road, ‘needed to charge his battery’

A BIKER clocked at 95mph on the coast road told police he needed to charge his battery.

A spokesman for Dorset Police’s No Excuse Team said:

“On the way along the coast road B3157 towards Bridport, we recorded a motorbike at 95mph in a 50 zone.

“The rider stated: ‘The bike’s been in the garage for a few weeks and I needed to charge the battery’.

“Meanwhile, a VW transporter recorded at 72mph in a 40 zone stated: ‘Sorry, I was trying to catch my mate up as I don’t know where I’m going in Southampton.’
