Cafe Ope Returns with Tea, Cake and an Evening of Inspiration
Residents are warmly invited to Cafe Ope, an evening of conversation, community and uplifting stories, taking place on Tuesday 13 January from 6–8pm.
Hosted in a relaxed café-style setting, the event offers tea, coffee, delicious cakes and — at its heart — inspirational tales of hope designed to spark connection and lift spirits during the winter months.
This month’s guest speaker is Simon Raynes, a key figure behind the successful Towns of Culture 25programme for Portland and Weymouth. Affectionately known in the B-Side office as “Mr Legacy”, Simon will reflect on what has been achieved so far, what lies ahead, and why culture and the arts play such a vital role in improving quality of life for everyone.
With a varied and fascinating life journey, Simon is known for sharing stories that are engaging, thoughtful and deeply inspiring, making this a talk not to be missed.
Cafe Ope is open to anyone looking for a welcoming space to listen, reflect and connect with others over a warm drink and good conversation.
