Chris Parker Takes on 100km Jurassic Coast Challenge for Pancreatic Cancer UK

Local fundraiser Chris Parker is preparing to take on the formidable Jurassic Coast Challenge, a 100km (62-mile) endurance route across one of the UK’s most iconic coastlines on 16–17 May, in support of Pancreatic Cancer UK.

Chris is undertaking the challenge for a deeply personal reason — to support his close friend Cora, who is currently battling pancreatic cancer with remarkable strength and determination. While Cora continues to “kick this horrible disease in the ass,” Chris and the wider community are coming together to raise vital funds for research, support services and awareness.

The fundraising campaign officially launches on 28 March, marking the start of what Chris describes as a full “go, go, go 🥰” effort to raise as much money as possible for the charity.

Those who are unable to attend events in person can still support Chris by donating via the JustGiving page, where every contribution goes directly to Pancreatic Cancer UK:

For offline supporters, sponsorship forms are available at Wax & Relax.

In addition to the endurance challenge, supporters are invited to get involved in a Jurassic Coast Coffee Morning and raffle, featuring fantastic prizes donated by generous local businesses and attractions. Full details of the event can be found here:

Chris is encouraging everyone to share the campaign, donate if they can, and help spread the word, with the aim of raising as much as possible for this vital cause.

“Every donation, share and message of support means the world,” Chris said. “Let’s do this for Cora 💜.”
