Weldmar Hospicecare is a charity that provides end of life care for people living in Dorset who require specialist support.
The Weldmar Hospice are opening their day services which is restarting up from 6 July.
Their services were suspended due to the Covid-19 breakdown.
An all-day service of face to face bereavement and counselling meeting will take place in Weymouth at the Trimar House on Monday and Tuesday next week.
Two sessions will be available throughout the day to keep patients safe.
Day services lead Jenny Wood says “the past three months have been very challenging for those self-isolating…patients may have felt lonely.” However “[re-opening] allows us to help our patients to feel connected again.”
With the renewal of the day services and face to face family support, the charity’s funding is being dismissed by the lack of fundraising events and charity shops being closed.
Weldmar is asking for supporters to stand by them to help them stay resilient.
