Dispersal notices issued to youths in Weymouth by Police

Weymouth and Portland police took action after they found youths causing issues in and around in the town, plus, they dealt with a large gathering at Sandsfoot Castle.

Six dispersal notices were issued during the day on Saturday 11th July.

These were orders to leave the town and beach area for a period of 12 hours. If any of those issued with a notice were then seen again, they could have been arrested. The Police also contacted their parents to get them all collected and taken home.

Police officers were also called out to reports of a large gathering of youths at Sandsfoot Castle. Those who didn’t immediately leave were talked to and told to move on, taking their rubbish with them.
