Distinctive Ghurka Restaurant, in Weymouth, is asking permission to operate a takeaway business.
The Commercial Road restaurant, which sits in the water off the Melcombe Regis car park, has requested Dorset Council to consider a change of use application from a restaurant to hot food take away.
The application offers no further details but suggests from plans, that the building will not be materially altered on the outside and that it will continue to also operate a buffet restaurant service when able to do so again in line with COVID restrictions.
Comments on the application can be made to the council until December 12.
A previous application to use sandbags to create a decking area between the restaurant and the walkway has been withdrawn by the business after running into objections.
