Man Arrested Following Burglary at Weymouth Amusement Arcade

Police have arrested a local man in connection with a burglary at the The Pier Bandstand Amusement Arcade which took place overnight on New Year’s Eve into New Year’s Day.

A large amount of cash was reported stolen during the break-in, prompting an investigation by Dorset Police. Officers confirmed that earlier today, members of the Neighbourhood Policing Team arrested a man in his 50s on suspicion of burglary.

As part of the investigation, police carried out searches at a residential address in Weymouth linked to the offence. Enquiries remain ongoing, and officers have said that further updates will be provided should any charges be authorised.
