Repair Café Weymouth to Hold Valentine’s Day Repair Session
Repair Café Weymouth to Hold Valentine’s Day Repair Session
Repair Café Weymouth will host its next community repair event on Saturday 14 February, offering residents the chance to fix broken household items while celebrating Valentine’s Day in a practical and sustainable way.
The event will take place at Southill Community Centre from 10am to 12.30pm, where volunteer repairers will be on hand to help mend a wide range of everyday items, from small electricals to household objects that might otherwise be thrown away.
Organisers say that while they can’t promise to repair broken hearts, they will “have a good go” at fixing dodgy household items, encouraging reuse, waste reduction and skill-sharing within the local community.
Repair Café Weymouth is part of a growing movement focused on sustainability and community action, helping residents save money while extending the life of much-loved belongings.
The event is open to everyone, and no booking is required.
