Weymouth Town Council’s Community Networking Events Return in 2026

Weymouth Town Council is delighted to announce the return of its Community Networking Events in 2026, with the first event taking place on Tuesday 20 January, from 10.15am to 1pm, in the Council Chamber at The New Town Hall, Commercial Road.

The free event is open to local voluntary and community groups, organisations and like-minded individuals, offering an opportunity to come together, strengthen local connections and share knowledge, resources and experiences from across the community.

January’s networking event will also provide attendees with the chance to meet Weymouth Town Council’s new Community Development Worker, who will be on hand to discuss current priorities and opportunities for collaboration. Key topics on the day will include a focused discussion on tackling child poverty in Weymouth, alongside an open forum where participants can share ideas to help shape future community networking events.

There will be plenty of time for informal networking, with a light lunch and refreshments provided, allowing groups to make new connections and learn more about the wide range of community activity taking place across the town.

The Mayor of Weymouth, Cllr Caroline Nickinson, said:

“Weymouth Town Council’s community networking events are invaluable for local groups and organisations, providing a great space to get together and find out about all the fantastic work that goes on for the benefit of our communities. This is our first event for 2026, so if you are interested in coming along and playing a part in shaping future networking events, we would love to see you on January 20th.”
