Charity Christmas tree collections in Weymouth & Portland

Weldmar Hospicecare is once again collecting real Christmas trees once the festive season is over, for a suggested donation of just £10 to the charity.
Collections will take place in the Weymouth & Portland area on Saturday 7th January, for real trees that are no taller than 8ft tall.
The trees will be chipped and recycled.
The initiative is being supported by Trinity Street Christmas Trees, who will be making the collections on behalf of Weldmar.
Fiona Hansford co-ordinates the project for Weldmar and says, “It is great to be able to offer the Christmas Treecycle for the people of Dorset again, and every donation for every tree collected means that we can continue to provide specialist care for adults in Dorset living with a life limiting illness, and support for their loved ones.”
Tamzin Hyde from Trinity Street Christmas Trees is delighted to partner with Weldmar again. She says: “As a local Dorset-based business it is great to not only be able to offer this service to the local community but also help raise vital funds for Weldmar. As a team we were able to collect over 900 trees during the last initiative, which raised more than £10,000 for the charity! This is a fantastic scheme we are extremely proud to be involved with.”
