The Lounge Hits the AIRwaves

The lounge, a brand new show for AIR 1072, aired for the first time on Tuesday 7th January with guests including Grafitti Falls and Asha.

AIR 107.2 has recently launched the show in association with the Antix Music network to showcase the best in local music around Weymouth and Portland. The lounge, hosted by Frazer, Paul and Max airs every Tuesday evening between 8 – 10PM.

The first show, showcased live music in the hanger by local artist Asha, a young singer songwriter from Dorset who has recently released music for Jurassic Coast Records. Asha performed numerous songs accompanied by her keyboard for listeners live on The Lounge. In the second hour of the show, newly-formed band Graffiti Falls performed a selection of their own music in their first ever radio performance.

Robson James, a director at AIR 107.2 said “We are very proud to have worked with Frazer, Paul and Max to bring a new show to the airwaves of AIR 107.2. Tonight’s show has proved how important it is to showcase local talent and promote the wonderful music scene that Weymouth has to offer”.
