Mike was born in London but has spent most of his life living by the sea here in Weymouth.

Before joining AIR 107.2 he was involved with Weymouth Drama Club playing various roles in their Pantomimes and other Productions. Mike has always wanted to help others and after passing his Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Award in 1991 he stayed on to help other young people through their awards and later became Chairman of the Award Scheme for South Dorset and Vice Chairman for Dorset.

Mike took a few years gap in which he got married and started a family and then in May 2013 he joined AIR 107.2 after one of his skittles friends introduced him to the station. He was invited to join the High Noon show with David James on lunchtime where he learnt the ropes.

He went on to host the Airheads show on a Sunday evening for a short while but now you can hear him with his friend and work colleague Ngala Kitavi on The Vault on a Thursday evening between 7-8pm.
