James you did us proud.. but it wasnt to be!

Weymouths own  James Baker was unexpectedly eliminated from the competition, leaving viewers and fans in disbelief. The highly anticipated final aired tonight.  featuring the last remaining contestants battling for the coveted cash prize.

James, a 38-year-old gardener from Weymouth, had made it to the final round alongside four other finalists: Jack, Rachel, Faraaz, Stephen, and Jade. However, his journey came to a sudden halt due to a rare tie-break scenario. The semi-final ended in a deadlock vote between James and Rachel, who was revealed to be a Traitor.

To resolve the impasse, host Claudia Winkleman implemented a game of chance called Chests of Chance. Both contestants selected a chest, and the player who uncovered a shield would continue in the game, while the other would face immediate banishment. Unfortunately for James, he chose the wrong chest and was sent home in an instant.

In a memorable exit speech, James played a clever “double-bluff,” pretending to be a Traitor before revealing his true identity as a Faithful. His strategic gameplay and background as a poker player had garnered attention throughout the season, particularly after his controversial use of a “double-vote dagger” to target a fellow Faithful.

James’s unexpected exit has ignited discussions among fans about the unpredictable nature of the competition, highlighting how quickly fortunes can change in the game of deception and strategy. The remaining finalists now face the pressure of identifying the Traitors as they race toward the finale and the ultimate prize.
