Panto Mayhem Promised at Weymouth Pavilion’s Muck-Up Matinee

Audiences are being warned to expect anything and everything as Weymouth Pavilion prepares to unleash its much-loved Muck-Up Matinee on Sunday 4 January — a one-off, laugh-out-loud finale to this year’s Christmas pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk.

Taking place at 2pm, this special matinee performance promises all the classic “Fee-Fi-Fo-Fun” of the traditional pantomime, but with an added twist: surprise pranks, cheeky interruptions and mischievous moments designed to catch the cast completely off guard. No two Muck-Up Matinees are ever the same, and this final show marks the riotous end of Weymouth Pavilion’s festive panto run.

Audience members can expect plenty of GIANT laughs, unexpected antics and playful chaos throughout the performance. As ever, the question remains: Will Jack still climb the beanstalk? Will Daisy the cow be utterly upset? And will Simon be even sillier than usual? The only way to find out is to be there.

What audiences should know

While the auditorium is fully seated, some guests may choose to stand or dance during the performance, particularly if encouraged by the cast. Those wishing to do so are asked to move to the sides or rear of the auditorium so seated guests can still enjoy the show. For safety reasons, dancing is not permitted in the front row of the circle. Refunds will not be issued on the basis of audience movement or participation.

With pranks planned, laughter guaranteed and the cast bracing themselves for the unexpected, the Muck-Up Matinee promises to be a fittingly wild and wonderful send-off to Weymouth Pavilion’s festive season.
